A good weekend voor Hobbits: five new ones!
Last weekend Jan B., a famous member of the Dutch Tolkien Society UNQUENDOR (ww.unquendor.nl) visited my Hobbitlibrary. He had five Hobbits (plus some other Tolkien things) with him. I was lucky to buy them. See what new Hobbits arrived:
From Catalan, a part of Spain (Barcelona) with their own version of the Spanish langusage.
A very nice copy: the second edition of the Bulgarian Hobbit (1997)
And a Russian Hobbit, number 38.
Quite a special Hobbit, from Romania.
Last, but certainly not least: a very special edition of a Czech Hobbit. 21 exerpts from The Hobbit with illustrations by Jan Václavík.
Jan, thanks again!

First print from Poland!
I am glad to present here the first print of the Polish translation of The Hobbit. It was the fourth translation. Sweden was first in 1947, followed by Germany 1957 and Holland 1960 (only a few months before the Polish version. Sorry Marek!)
I bought this book from Marek Sliwinski, a Polish collector of illustrated Hobbits. You should see his website: http://www.tolkien.com.pl/hobbit/index.php. Marek, thanks!

Three new Hobbits
Bought from my favorite Polish collector, Marek S.: a collection of stories in English language, but published in Russia. Only first chapter of The Hobbit. This was the very first time, that a story by Tolkien was published in Russia. The Russian translation of The Hobbit followed one year later, in 1976.
Another book bought from Mares S. This time a Slovak edition of The Hobbit. On the cover my favorite Tolkien illustration. This Hobbit was published in 2002.
Last, but not least, a Hungarian translation of The Hobbit, illustrated by Alan Lee. A gift from a colleague (André Ensing), who went to Hungary for a wedding (not his!).
